Projects
Here you will find some interesting project that Futoro Ltd is working on (indicated with
) and those that have previously been worked on.
Alternative to HUDOC
Our version of
HUDOC - ECHR
. A new version to the original site using the latest technologies.
This new project that we are working on, the above link, is using the latest technologies:
React (v.18)
,
Redux-RTK
, and
Tailwind CSS
. It utilises the original backend (C#, SharePoint) running on the
Council of Europe (COE)
servers.
This is a rehashing of the frontend of the original site that was created many years ago. The original site, which is still running today, uses older frameworks which were at the forefront at the time but are hardly ever used today for development (e.g.
Backbone.js
,
jQuery
and
Bootstrap
).
We have done this as a proof of concept with the view of contacting the Council of Europe to see if they would be interested in acquiring this code.
HUDOC (Human Rights Documentation) is a search engine for documents relating to the improvement of Humanity, mainly relating to Human Rights.
Between 2011 and 2017,
Chris
, CEO & Lead Developer of Futoro Ltd, was one of two developers, later becoming the sole full-stack developer, to work on the original
HUDOC-ECHR
site on behalf of the
European Court of Human Rights (ECHR)
.
Other Council of Europe bodies became interested in this new site for ECHR and the process was repeated for these other organisations:
We hope you find this interesting. It was quite rewarding redoing the code for this. It took considerably less time and the new code is both much smaller and far more intelligible.
